403(b) Tax Shelter & ROTH 403(b) Plans

Employees may opt to participate in a 403(b) Tax-Sheltered Annuity (TSA) Plan, which is a retirement plan offered by public schools. These annuities are funded by elective deferrals made through salary reduction agreements. Elective Deferrals are amounts designated by the employee to be deducted from their salary for contribution to the TSA. The elective deferral is typically excludable from the employee's gross income. The contribution limit for a 403(b) account is $20,500 if you are 49 years of age and below and up to $27,000 if you are 50 years of age and over.
